Witches cannot cross running water, so the old Brig o’ Doon is Tam’s one chance; Maggie carries him over as a witch snatches at her tail. This Tam o’ Shanter scene is part of Bruce’s Glenfarclas 40 Year Old whisky commission, told in full in the journal.
