Privacy Policy

This website presents the work of the late Scottish artist Bruce Thomson and is maintained by The Bruce Thomson Estate. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to answer enquiries and understand how the site is used. This page explains what is collected and why.

The contact form

When you send a message through our contact form, we collect the name, email address and message you provide. We use this only to read and reply to your enquiry. The form is processed by Formspark, a form-handling service that receives the submission and forwards it to the estate by email. Your details are not added to any marketing list and are not sold or shared with anyone else.

Analytics

We use Simple Analytics to understand which pages are viewed and roughly where visitors come from. Simple Analytics is privacy-first: it sets no cookies, does not track you across other websites, and does not collect or store personal information. The data we see is aggregated and anonymous, and cannot be used to identify you.

Cookies

This site does not use tracking or advertising cookies. Your theme choice (light or dark) is remembered in your own browser using local storage, which stays on your device and is never sent to us.

How long we keep information

Enquiry messages are kept only for as long as needed to deal with your request and for reasonable follow-up. Analytics data is aggregated and holds nothing personal about you.

Your choices

You can ask us to see or delete any message you have sent through the contact form. To do so, send a request through the contact form and we will action it. Because the site collects no personal data through analytics, there is nothing to remove there.

Hosting and security

The site is hosted on Cloudflare and served over a secure (HTTPS) connection. We take reasonable care to keep any information you send us safe.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will appear on this page with a revised date above.
